What is CargoGLOW Premium?

CargoGLOW is the only integrated interior lighting system for cargo bikes on the market specifically designed for everyday use. It ensures that the interior of the transport box is always well-lit: during loading, while riding, and in everyday situations with children or luggage.

Unlike simple string lights or battery-powered lamps, CargoGLOW is permanently installed in the cargo bike and connected directly to the onboard power supply . This means the light is always available, without charging or any additional effort.

How CargoGLOW Premium works

CargoGLOW consists of flexible LED light strips that adapt to the shape of the convertible top. Instead of individual light points, a uniform, continuous light strip (COB LED) is created that illuminates the entire interior and does not cause glare thanks to the integrated diffuser.

The lighting is connected directly to the Bosch motor's power port . An integrated dimmer allows the light to be conveniently switched on and off and the brightness adjusted – via remote control.

The connection between the power supply and the LED strips in the convertible top is made via a high-quality Higo connector , so that the convertible top can be easily removed if necessary without having to dismantle the lighting.

Is CargoGLOW Premium suitable for all cargo bikes?

CargoGLOW Premium is suitable for all cargo bikes with a Bosch motor , both with the Bosch eBike System 2 and the Bosch Smart System. The prerequisite is that the bike is equipped with a rain cover .
To ensure maximum compatibility, we offer three different mounting solutions that allow CargoGLOW Premium to be reliably mounted in all common rain covers.

Is CargoGLOW Premium an outdoor light?

No. CargoGLOW Premium is an integrated interior light for cargo bikes and not exterior or vehicle lighting. It is not considered a lighting device under the German Road Traffic Regulations (StVZO) because it neither affects the required vehicle lighting nor has any impact on road traffic. CargoGLOW Premium is intentionally designed to remain permanently in the vehicle and to operate almost completely maintenance-free.

How is CargoGLOW Premium assembled?

CargoGLOW Premium connects directly to the Bosch motor. The included connection cable is connected to the motor's AUX or LPP port and routed inside or along the frame to the handlebar area. Next, the appropriate clips are attached to the LED strips and mounted to the rain cover poles. Finally, the connection cable and LED strips are connected using the HIGO connectors, and the Power Port is activated in the Bosch software.

Is CargoGLOW Premium dimmable?

Yes. CargoGLOW Premium has a dimmer integrated into the connection cable. It is controlled via a supplied remote control with three buttons for on/off and for adjusting the brightness up and down.

Is an additional battery required?

No. CargoGLOW Premium is powered directly by the motor and uses the existing battery of the cargo bike. An additional battery or separate power supply is not required.

Is CargoGLOW Premium weatherproof?

Yes. The LED strips are fully embedded in a silicone diffuser, reliably protecting them against moisture and environmental influences. CargoGLOW Premium is designed for continuous use in cargo bikes.

Can the end customer install it themselves?

No. Due to the direct integration with the Bosch motor and the required activation of the Power Port via the Bosch service software, self-installation by end customers is generally not possible. Installation is intentionally designed for specialist retailers and thus represents a clear unique selling point for qualified workshops and retail partners.

How does the support work?

We provide detailed instructions and support for end customers and retailers on our website. Should further support be required after a brief technical check in our workshop, we kindly ask that end customer inquiries be forwarded directly to us. Support is primarily provided via chat and email; we are also available by phone. Furthermore, we guarantee the availability of spare parts for at least ten years.
